Hymns In Stereo EP

I've never seen a darker day. This wooden heart was made to sink that way. I'm everything that you've been warned about. We've garnered trepidation running, An enemy so fast and cunning, it's everything that you've been warned about... And I Should have seen this one coming Eyes closed and my heart wide open A fear based love while our fathers are choking Should we do what's right? Should we do what's wrong, should we do what's honest to my wooden heart and keep it hanging on. And every single daylight nightmare, Scattered thoughts and disrepair, a common ground brought in from the past. While you hold the anchor to me remember all my Ships are sinking Let's clear this air, and hope these chains can last. And every single breath we'd take Burning through my lungs in vain I never thought you'd forget my name And every single breath we take burning through my lungs in vain I never thought you'd look at me the same.

Cadence 03:56
We'll lose ourselves in the fire we've lit, careened off the path, no regard for the end, and the cadence, the cadence will carry me home. And the minute hand seems a little off time, no wit or reason, rhythm or rhyme, but this song, this song, will carry me home! And I don't know now. And it's time to move on, anchored to the moon, as we barrel down the highway, we sing the songs we knew...From AM dials to FM miles, we never had a clue... And the songs go on and on and and on. But these connections are in miles that you'll never break, and the heart attack poets on the interstate, reminded on the radio, I'm not alone. You had to reap the whirlwind just to pass me by, like the broken down records of your alibi, we'll steal these songs, and never give them back.

Lyrics: We gotta find the fastest path on the way out of town , I hear the echoes of your choices as we hit the ground, I'm so glad you made it, so glad you made it. And every Fall you'd make a series of rounds, from the lowest lows to the highest sounds. It made sense to me, every year since '93... The collarbones and pocketknives reality hurt, single file lines just to hit the dirt, and that's over now, without us even knowing how. And when my ghosts are haunting, you'll find my captain singing: "We sing these hymns in stereo, To the tune of never letting go, And are your ears still ringing? My souls in search of feeling! I'm getting older now, can't seem to stop somehow." I've never been more sure about anything, the grief we felt, all your friends in pain, but that's over now, we overcame with sound.. And the very last thing that you said to me, is so blurry now and in retreat, I can't remember how, I'll just remember when.
